Chapter 360: Chapter 360: Great Name (1 more)

The waiter wasn’t wrong, Feng Jing was beautiful, charismatic, and charming, but no matter what, she was slightly older than Feng Jun and the young greeter.

Especially when the three of them stood together, there was no doubt she looked the more mature one.

“That’s debatable,” the old lady sneered, “She’s older, but who knows, maybe she’s more coquettish.”

“I might be coquettish, but not as much as your son,” Feng Jing couldn’t hold back any longer, replying with a darkened face.

The young greeter watched the gossip unfold with great excitement, forgetting that she had previously threatened to leave the establishment.

The old lady raised her voice again, “Then tell me, what else could you be doing out in the middle of the night if not having a secret rendezvous with some man?”

Just then, Feng Jun spoke up, “We invited Teacher Mei out to talk about signing up for classes.”

“Classes?” The old lady turned sharply, glaring at Feng Jun fiercely, “What classes?”

She obviously knew that her daughter-in-law was setting up music classes; she just wanted to pry into the specifics, looking for something to nitpick and complain about.

“Who do you think you are?” Feng Jun frowned, speaking impatiently, “You think you can interrogate me… You’re not fit to. Come back when you’ve got the national emblem on your forehead!”

The old lady trembled with rage, “Look at that, this is the kind of friend your son brought home, no respect for elders… Zheng Ting, you’ve truly brought misfortune upon yourself for eight lifetimes over.”

“Says who you’re crazy,” the young greeter cursed angrily, “To be treated like an elder, you need to act like one… Waiter, are we allowed to eat or not?”

Several waiters came over, “Old lady, we work for our wages too, please don’t smash our rice bowl, will you?”

The old lady was livid, pointing at the young greeter, “You’re just an extra called in for the show… a worthless stand-in!”n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

“Yeah, right,” the young girl scoffed with a cold smile, lightly kicking the trash can nearby, “The trash bag has already been changed once, you think I’m just filling in?”

The waiter tried to mediate as well, “The two have been eating for over an hour, elder, it’s not proper to do this… Young man, you should say something.”

The young man who came with the old lady had been silent the whole time, his eyes rolling from one person to the next.

He was dragged here by his aunt, clearly part of some backup plan.

But the more he listened, the clearer it became that even he thought his aunt was being unreasonable, “Let’s go, second aunt.”

The old lady was persuaded to leave, but Feng Jing was still fuming, cursing the old woman between bites of her food.

The young greeter had initially just been echoing her complaints, but the more she listened, the angrier she became, “Her son doesn’t want to go to work, so she expects you to take time off to look after him? What a pathetic family!”

That day, Feng Jing was truly enraged, “The problem is… her son isn’t even at home! He spends all day out going wild, injured leg and all, he’d bring someone right into our house if I didn’t let him out!”

The young greeter slammed the table, declaring with finality, “You can’t live like this… Divorce him!”

Feng Jun and Feng Jing shook their heads, sighing in unison, “We can’t divorce.”

The young greeter paused at their words, then spread her hands helplessly, “Well… there’s nothing to be done then.”

The three of them drank until eleven o’clock, with Feng Jing having her fair share of dry white wine—without mixing it with Sprite.

Suddenly, the young greeter spoke up, “Sis, with your mother-in-law’s place being like that, you… don’t have to go back, right?”

Feng Jing flinched, glancing at her, “What do you mean by that?”

“If he can be unkind, so can you,” the young greeter spoke lightly, “Give him a green hat.”

Feng Jing hesitated, then laughed at her response, “What about you?”

“Cold salad,” the young greeter answered with a laugh, “My brother and I are pretty much strangers. We really did come here to talk business… How about doing it together?”

“Together,” Feng Jing’s face turned red instantly, “Gosh, kids these days are something else.”

“What are you thinking?” the young greeter looked at her scornfully, “I mean, it’s already this late; I might as well not go home either. Get separate rooms… so you don’t have to explain, considerate, huh?”

“No way,” Feng Jing shook her head, “Zhengyang is local, I can’t register with my ID.”

“You don’t have to check in with your ID, just come into the room with me,” the young greeter said earnestly, “and then, sneak into my brother’s room… I can tell, you like him.”

Feng Jing thought for a moment but still shook her head, “No, that won’t do.”

“Then don’t blame me,” the young greeter glanced at her, “I gave you the chance… and if you don’t take it, I will.”

Feng Jing muttered under her breath, “I mean… there are cameras in the corridors.”

“Alright, let’s go, don’t worry about these things,” Feng Jun waved his hand, calling out, “Waiter, check please!”

The three of them did rack up a bill of over two thousand, especially the young greeter, who alone accounted for more than a thousand.

Feng Jing hadn’t driven herself; she had taken a taxi, saying that she had come out tonight intending to drink.

Feng Jun called for a designated driver, and the Phaeton headed straight for the Penglai Grand Hotel.

The Penglai Grand Hotel was now his territory; upon arrival, he immediately rented two suites.

There was no need to swipe Feng Jun’s ID card; the staff recognized him, and facial recognition was enough.

The young greeter sheepishly produced an ID card, looking a bit embarrassed, “Don’t laugh at my name, okay?”

“Her name was actually quite elegant, Li Shishi.

“Pfft,” Feng Jun couldn’t help but snicker, “Your husband is lucky… an exceptional woman indeed.”

“Huh?” Good scenery was a bit puzzled, “Li Shishi’s zither playing isn’t bad, isn’t that why Emperor Huizong liked her?”

True to being a vocal music specialist, she spoke with such expertise the moment she opened her mouth.

“My brother is a big hooligan,” the little greeter instantly got it, today’s girls are truly something else.

“Who are you calling a hooligan?” Feng Jun looked at her with a mock smile, “To have a meal with me… you even brought your ID? Trying to get me drunk to do something naughty, aren’t you? Luckily, I can hold my liquor.”

Bringing ID… the little greeter’s secret thoughts were hit on the nail, “Getting you drunk? Isn’t that easy? Continue drinking in the room?”

“Drink then, who’s afraid?”

The front desk clerk’s eyelids drooped, pretending not to hear—everyone knew how tough this man was to deal with.

Two IDs were used to open two suites, no need to worry about the hallway surveillance, and not long after the three of them entered the room, Li Shishi dragged Good Scenery off to Feng Jun’s room.

Then the front desk received a call from the room, asking them to send up beer and takeaway…

After the noise had subsided, it was approaching three in the morning, and Feng Jun lit a cigarette, his other arm draped over Good Scenery’s smooth shoulder.

The drinking went well, and everything just naturally happened, a fantastic life experience.

Under the sheet, their bodies were still entwined, with Good Scenery’s leg over his.

Mature women are like that, once a certain threshold in a relationship is crossed, they become unabashed.

Feng Jun seriously wondered if all women liked to drape their legs over a man’s body.

Good Scenery had already fallen into a deep sleep, after all, the two had been going at it for more than an hour.

But Feng Jun had been holding back for half a year, and he had only just begun to release some of that pent-up frustration, so he still felt somewhat unsatisfied.

Ever since he started his cultivation, his refractory period had noticeably decreased, and his tendency to be sleepy had been fading, especially now, with something on his mind, he couldn’t sleep at all.

Once he was certain that Good Scenery was deeply asleep, he carefully moved her aside and quietly got up.

He put on his underwear, opened the door, and peered out at Li Shishi, who was sound asleep on the couch.

Last night, during the drinking competition, the little greeter was the first to fall. She ran to the bathroom to throw up twice, still claiming she hadn’t drunk much, before sitting on the sofa and falling asleep in less than five minutes.

For this, Feng Jun had covered her with a blanket, and now she was snugly wrapped in it, sleeping soundly.

He just took a glance and then receded back, closing the door, took out a set of black tight-fitting clothes, put them on, quietly opened the window, leaped outside, carefully closed the window behind him, and then let go, descending from the twelfth floor as if carried by the wind.

Li Shishi hadn’t slept particularly well that day. When she woke up, she felt a headache and a dry mouth. She blinked amid confusion before realizing that she was sleeping in Feng Jun’s room.

She felt herself, her skirt was still on, and she was still wearing her tights. She couldn’t help but mutter to herself, “Couldn’t even help me take off my clothes.”

Yet undressed or not, it was uncomfortable to sleep in clothes, but the thirst from drinking was what truly bothered her.

She got up to look around and found a bottle of mineral water provided by the hotel, gulping it down at once.

Not enough, still thirsty, especially since she had been wrapped in the blanket for so long, sweating quite a bit.

After drinking a bottle of water, she was much more awake. She glanced left and right, tiptoed to the bedroom door, muttering softly, “You two must be all… wet, eh?”

Li Shishi didn’t think of herself as a voyeur; she told herself she was just thirsty, the mineral water outside was finished, and there should be some more in the bedroom.

After all, young girls these days really aren’t shy about such things. In an era of information explosion, what can’t you see on the internet?

If she were discovered, she could always just cover her eyes as if embarrassed.

She gently twisted the doorknob, and the door opened readily—the door could be locked from the inside, but locking it made a noticeable noise.

The night light was on in the bedroom, dimly illuminating the space. Li Shishi took one look and knew the sister was lying on the bed.

The sister had the blanket wrapped tightly, only her head was exposed, but the messy bed clearly indicated what had happened.

But the question was… where was the brother?

Li Shishi paused, perked up her ears, but there was no sound from the bathroom.

She glanced around, found another bottle of mineral water, opened it, and started drinking while pondering: Where could he be?

Could he have drunk too much and be lying in the bathroom? She pushed open the bathroom door.

No one was there!

Huh? Li Shishi’s curiosity was completely piqued, she looked left and right, searching for Feng Jun.

Hotel rooms aren’t like homes, they’re basically open and clear, with few places to hide.

Since he wasn’t in the wardrobe, the only other place to hide would be behind the curtains. Li Shishi quietly crept behind the curtains to look—are you trying to play ‘Lost on a Journey’?
