Beast Evolution Forge

Chapter 41 Forest Pt.3

'Ugh, what the happened, one moment i was trying to help Vell out and from the it's all a blank.' She turned to Vell who looked to be in terrible shape. "Oh my god, are you ok?" She reached out, grabbing his hands with a sad looking on her face.

"It's fine, no need to worry about it. Anyways, you can continue." His gaze turned back to the woman, who was still unsure if she should continue or wait for a bit.

"I think that's enough for now, you can piece everything else together yourself, what we should be talking about is our home and why its dying. agreed?"

He wanted to reject but the way she worded it made sure there was no room for a comeback. "...That's fine but.....can we talk about this while eating? We are starving." Yenna felt second hand embarrassment, she too was hungry but was too shy to say anything.

His words were a surprise to the women, so much that let out a soft laugh. "Very well, let me personally offer you some food." She waved her hand the massive doors behind them opened, followed by a huge table being carried by massive roots. The roots placed the table right in front of them and the chairs behind.

'....she is a scary woman.' He thought, taking a sit, his eyes scanning everything on the table, this was not a simple meal, it looked like something that would be offered at a feast.

Yenna's cried out as she took in the spread before them. The table was adorned with vibrant dishes: roasted meats, bowls of exotic fruits that seemed to shimmer with a faint glow, and loaves of bread that exuded a comforting warmth. Strange, translucent beverages swirled in ornate goblets, the liquid shifting colors like a living rainbow.

".....You wouldn't poison a hungry soul would you?" He asked, his eyes never living the food.

The woman chuckled softly, her voice like silk. "You wound me. Do you think I would go through all this trouble only to poison you? Besides, if I wanted you dead, I wouldn't need such elaborate methods."

"Fair point," he muttered, still cautious but too hungry to argue further. He grabbed a piece of the bread and took a tentative bite. To his surprise, it was warm and soft, with a flavor that seemed to melt into his very soul. In all his life, never have his taste buds danced in such happiness.

'Incredible, its not just normal food either, i can sense a lot of mana from each dish. Just what are these monster.....i wonder,' His gazed up at the woman, their eyes locking as she has been staring at him this entire time. 'can i tame her?' He swallowed, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.

Yenna looked at Vell enjoying, her stomach screaming at her to eat. Her shyness quickly giving way to the pull of hunger. Her eyes lit up as she bit into a fruit, its juice running down her chin.

"This is amazing, so soft and juicy!"

He looked at his kids, wanting them to eat too but they were still sleeping, part of him thought it was weird but he still pushed that thought aside for now. "Ok, you can continue now." He leaned back, licking his fingers.

"Right, i will just get straight to the point. A mysterious dungeon appeared in our forest 2 years ago. We didn't think much about if at first but over time we began to notice that something was not right, we were getting weaker and weaker with each passing day. So we tried to enter and clear the dungeon but it refused entry for anyone who is native to the forest."Nôv(el)B\\jnn

He licked his lips while his fingers tapped the table. "A dungeon that blocks out the locals? That's... odd. Most dungeons don't discriminate like that....well, not like I know anything about that."

"Yeah, we kept trying for a long time but still nothing. We were giving up hope until the voice of the world spoke to us, telling us to find a worthy human to clear this dungeon, if the human fails, our home will be eaten until there is nothing left. So we began testing all the humans who entered our forest and you are the only one to have passed that test."

He sighed, this was getting predictable again, "so you want me to go inside an unknown dungeon and risk my life for monsters? not even monsters but for monsters i don't know?" He sighed even deeper, disappointed in the woman, he expected more.

The woman didn't flinch at his words, she stood up and began walking towards him, her eyes never leaving him. After arriving she sat on the table, he eyes looking even more beautiful up close. Yenna saw all this and her heart didn't like it one bit.

The women got closer to his face, her soft hands gently holding his sides, her plump lips smiling at him and her sweet scent feeling the air with the aroma of flowers. The whole scene looked like something out of a romance novel. She got closer to his ear, whispering words that made him flinch, "The voice told us that there are rewards in the dungeon that hold immense power, not only that, if you succeed, we will also give you a gift worth your while."

He side eyed her, the look in her eyes seductive as her fingers danced on his face. 'this woman is dangerous but.....power, this might be my biggest chance to get stronger. I can't lose it.'

He removed her hands and respectfully pushed her off him, "Fine, i will help you, no need to act like that, it does not suit you." He went back to eating leaving the woman baffled.

'Not once, but he did it twice, no one has ever been able to reject my advances, this is really intriguing but also.....truly annoying.' She went back to her throne without saying a word, was it embarrassment, was her pride hurt that much?

'Insolent human...once you save our home, you will not leave this place alive. ' Her expression twisted, revealing her true colors.
