Ascension of the Monster Queen

Nessa lowered her head after what he said to her and she exhaled deeply as she thought about a few things then he sighed.

"Also, you are right when you said not because you are not clean means you are evil, not everyone is like that, sometimes some had no choice at one point," He said and Nessa glanced at him then a smile appeared on her face and she nodded.

"I know that, I know that life can be very unfair to people at times, as well," She replied and he nodded as he looked at her.

"That's true, I saw that first hand, many times, a lot of things in this world are dark, certain things can happen that can change the way a person thinks and feel completely, change them into a person even they may not be able to recognize, change everything, even the way they see things, damage a person's very core, " He said as he clenched his right fist and she glanced at him with her eyes narrowing.

"I say this because I have seen a lot more things, also, you have a good amount of experience with what I am saying, don't you?" He asked and she lowered her head and he glanced at her.

After hearing him say that, Nessa remembered all the things that she had seen ever since she came into the world and she clenched her fists as she remembered all of the pain the ones that she is going after had caused people and she gritted her teeth.

'I know he is right, every word that came out of his mouth just now was right, on spot, that's another reason why I have to make sure I am able to protect what I have created, I cannot afford to be weak or it may all get taken away,' She thought.

"Yeah, I do, you are right as well, that's more reason to do what I am, also darkness is almost everywhere, you just have to do your best to not get pulled down with it, I don't have any intention to," She said and he scoffed.

"I know that, it's one of the things that makes you a good leader, you don't know when to give up either and you will never let anyone walk over you," He replied and she smiled as she looked at him.

"You are welcome," He replied as they finished eating then Nessa got up and she sighed.

"Well, we are done here, shall we head back now or do you want something else?" She asked and he looked at her.

"No, I don't want anything else, let's head back to the castle, it is getting very late as well," He responded and she nodded.

"Come on," She said as she walked away and he walked beside her.

"Another thing, like I said before, you have to be more cautious now, after all, a member or two from the council will be coming here and sometimes getting involved with them is not such a good thing, sometimes not all of them are on the same page, not all are nice, you remember what I told you about them, right?" He asked and she looked at him as they were about to arrive at the castle.

"Yeah, I remember what you said to me about them, also, it's only natural, they have power after all and after hearing all about them in the past day, I can tell that they can bring trouble, depending on certain things as well, right?" She asked and he nodded as they arrived at the castle and both of them went to Nessa's room.

The girl stretched off since she was tired then she thought about a few more precautions that should be taken during the time of the choosing just in case something happens and the demon looked at her.

"Hey, I almost forgot, where were you all this time again?" She asked and he glanced at her then sighed.

"I was doing a little bit of research on my own, don't forget, I am a demon, there are many things that I can do and have access to," He responded and she looked at him and then wiped her eye.

"Did you find anything interesting?" She asked as she moved her neck in a circular motion.

"The ones you are after, they are dirty, but you already know that and that they might have a demon or two by their side, also, this may run deeper than we thought," He responded as she grabbed her nightgown then looked at him.

"Of course, it's deeper, though they may have demons as well, that makes sense as well, I will just have to fight and figure things out if that's what it comes down to," She said.

"You will have to fight, there is no if and buts about that part, oh and don't you mind me using my demon ways to get information?" He asked and she glanced at him then went to change her clothes in the bathroom while he waited in the room.

"No, as long as you don't harm an innocent and don't do anything wrong with it, there shouldn't be any problem," She responded as she exited the bathroom, dressed in her long-sleeved, long dark green nightgown.

"I see, that's good to know, I will keep you updated and we will continue doing our work tomorrow," He said.

"Good, I will see you in the morning, good night," She replied.

"Good night," He said as he left the room then she closed the door behind him and stretched off.

Nessa went into her bed and covered herself with her blanket then closed her eyes and just a few minutes after, the girl fell asleep since she was tired and wanted to rest.

As she was sleeping, the demon stood by the balcony door in his room, looking out at the night sky when another person appeared behind him and he turned around, slightly.

"Do you still want me to help with getting more information on the ones that have been causing problems lately?" The person asked.

"Yeah, I will repay you later, I will share it with her as well, seems like things might start getting interesting here," He responded as his eyes narrowed and the person looked at him.
